I agree with you Greybeard - I reckon that my tax differnetial since going to Uni has paid for my 'costs incurred' many, many times over. However, our Lords and Masters seem to want to have their cake.........and mine!

We've been saving for our kids to go to Uni since they were little but the costs seem to rise just slightly more than what we're saving.....stranage that!
Now son #1 has decided he wants to be a Doctor he can sort his own finances out - he'll have enough money afterwards and the debt will act as a great 'incentive' to succeed!

don't get debts, nothing to pay for ofcourse with the ridiculous amounts you have to pay for a decent education there...happy to have nice low rates here I can go do free top class courses while getting unemployment benefits. Win.

Bless those optimistic pre-uni people! I'm in final year now and am bricking the logistics of paying off a £24,000 debt.

Uni would be the smart option, i worked every hour while not in class@uni to get cash to pay off my loans, now iam out and i've got nothing to pay off whereas all my mates still have massive debts.

I'm taking a year off to work and save up for Uni next year, makes more sense than spending it on toys to me.
