Well the other night myself Dunk and a few other peeps got a bit bored and started messing around. As you may or may not know pyros on the oppisate team can launch you up into the sky by using the 2nd function on the flamethrower (same thing u use to clear stickys) we wanted to get people up as high as possible but there were only a couple of us and it chews a lot of ammo.

What we would really like if your interested in a larf is half an hour of your time and maybe we can password the server for that time as if people log on they will just kill us lolz as we found to our cost. I have spoke to Cawa about it and he thinks this is possible

We want as high and as long as possible

i think we should be able to get a team of pyros, have them all stand in a row and then have the opposing team pyroblasted along the line. like some big air powered moving people by air thing.

Willing to bet that's never been done before. All the pyros would have to be the same team, obviously, and you'll need a net. Maybe a row of dispensers? You can refill your ammo that way too

Trouble is, you'll need to find someone who's useless with the pyro's airblast and plays scout a lot...

Try getting some medics too, don't know if it made a difference but i ubered someone on badwater then ended up being shot about a mile in the air, 3 times the height of the upstairs bit on badwater!

well i am thinking we need 1 engi for 2 pyro's to build the dispenser
on goldrush i think its the 2nd CP that has a ledge above where the bomb goes(with the tunnell down the side) and a ledge on the farside of this, i think this would be a good start as it should take 2 pyros to juggle people across this gap.
we can then move onto more pyros and more engineers.

oh and I finally got my 1,000,000 dmg points as Pyro the other night. WOOHOO

I like this idea so much, I am willing to risk derision and scorn. Not only do I already sound like everyone's dad, I'll now sound like their boss as well. Dragging my lazy rear-end out of retirement and back into Project Manager mode, this ain't going to happen unless we decide some stuff.

Who can set up the server for us? - Which server? It'll need a password. If we're going to do stuff on Goldrush, can we change the timeout, otherwise we might just get set up and the map ends . Can auto-balance be turned off so we can have a load of Pyros, Medics and Engis on one team ... and a single Scout on the other

When and what time are we going to start? - A weekend sounds good. This weekend? Sunday afternoon? We need a time for a few players to start (14:00?) and then if others drop in, great.

What tricks are we going for? - Love "Scout Tennis" Juggling one person across a map? Juggling a line of players across the map? Does ubering add height? If so how high can we get someone?

Who's doing the recording? - Is someone willing to record as a spectator? Do we choose a player to record depending on circumstances (or both). Anyone willing to edit it together 'cos it's gotta go on the UKMD YouTube Channel (no TF2 on there ) ?

Ok. I've stuck my head above the parapet ... and I am aware of what happens when you do that in TF2

I was about to ask why you had quoted yourself. Oh well.

One thing though: I think the Scout will need some people on his team, because everytime a pyro misses the scout will take fall damage. Plus I wouldn't put it past them to set me on fire

So, you could either have a medic running around and getting in the way OR:

Most of the scout's team are engineers. You get a whole row of dispensers for your net and the scout gets to heal between serves (will need at least one engie on the pyro's team though, since they can't use the scout's dispensers)

Or, to make things more interesting, the scout's team mates go soldier, demo or pyro, and only use weapons that can be airblasted back (rockets, pipe bombs and flares). The pyros have to reflect those as well as the scout (bonus points if you reflect them into the scout)

When you're going for height, you could use more than airblast; have a heavy shooting them as well, or a soldier with good aim. If you use a scout again, they could cheat a bit and double jump.
