Any of you PS3 owners get an invite for this from Playstation.

just set it up for Jack and it looks really good (he is 12, loves msn and bebo) and will be right up his street.

worth having a look at it tho as the invites end on the 1st

well jack and I have had a good ol noob around on this and so far i am impressed.
full 3d world that allows you to interact with other people, and I am guessing there will be more than just the 4 locations available over the weeks and months. It does appear to be fully customisable as there is a shopping mall where you can buy clothes,furniture, general stuff and different locations. there is also what appears to be a sports stadium that is currently locked.

I am guessing that once more items are made availabl you will be able to wear a larger range of clothes, have a big ol Sony Vega tv in your apartment etc etc.
the cool thing is the cinema theartre, at the moment they are running game trailers but i am sure the future will let you download or stream movies thru this. likewise the game side of things will expand and there will be a virtual lobby for gamers to challenge each other, communities to meet etc. and as you download the locations the first time you enter them, there is only a short loadtime when you change.

overall I am very impressed. a lot like the Sims, but without the stoopid Simian language. although some french dude was rapping on it earlier ;-(
so nintendo have mini-mi avatars
xbox live now have 3d avatars (which do look cool)
and now PS3 has Home. this could be a huge factor in the success of the PS3 as i can see the thousands of people who love Facebook,Bebo etc really enjoying this, especially once they add more (and hopefully) free content. i am sure there will be content that you can buy, but it needs a lot of free stuff for the moment.

welldone Playstation, i saw this last christmas and it was one of the reasons for me buying ps3 so great to see it finally launched.

I dont know Smit. I think there will be a load of free stuff(they will need to make some stuff free to grow the user base) and stuff to buy.
read a post today from someone involved in the beta, and they upgraded their house but as it was beta, obviously no cost.
they will make money from adverts, so fingers crossed it wont be anything at all, or at the least a token £1 for a pack that includes a load of clothes etc.
also read that some games already have Home content in them, so if you own the game (GTA4 say) you can have the clothes that you own ingame for PS Home.

pshome had an update last week which gave some stuff you could buy for free and another house. had another update today, but dont know what that has done.
still think this looks real promising especially when the movies and music streaming gets added, and also the ability to launch your games from HOME.

Imagine This:
Going to a massive game server, where everyone knows everyone else, its all taken in a good manner and there to be enjoyed. The way Gaming should be. Thats what we do every day!

Like None Other
Team MX is like no other 'clan' ever conceived, we are a team, Team MX. We're probably the largest UK clan ever, we have over 170 team members with well over 130 of them actively playing. Team MX is over a year old now, celabrating its first birthday in November last year. Headed up by the worlds biggest n00b, MoggieX and backed up by some outstanding n00blets, known as the core admins.

We don't recruit twats!
Quite frankly we ain't interested in matches, or 'twats' (mainly gobby teanagers, you know the ones), if this is something you're looking for, or are, you're not in the right place at all. However, IF you are a utter n00b (like I am, MoggieX) and enjoy the 'whole' online gaming expereince, where you can make friends from all over the world, then you have found yourself a new home.

A Little More About Team MX
Also quite interestingly, every Team MX member gets a limited amount of admin privilages, its been the norm for people to pay for such rights, here you get them free and you can also feel at ease that there is only small group of admins, the core admins that have the access to any player abuse commands. So you can play in realtive safety, knowing that the server you're on is patrolled by an army of admins. We have members from the ages of 9 to well past retirement, probably with an average age twice that of other clans, a prime example that this is no ordinary clan.

Joining Team MX
We don't let just any old person join, you have to prove yourself over a long period of time. If you're turning up here thinking you're going to join us in a few days, you're sorely mistaken. In most cases it takes over a month to be recruited and thats just the lucky ones! People (not players) rarely leave Team MX, if they do, we never really seem to get rid of them, lol.
