Looking over this thread, you people have some nice kit!

Mine is pretty low-end, TBH:

Processor: AMD Athlon Dual-Core 2.4GHz
System Board: Gigabyte GA-M61PME-S2
Memory: 4 GB (2X2 GB) Crucial RAM
Graphics Card: Nvidia GeForce 8400 512MB PCI-E
Optical Drive(s) 1 X LG DVD Ram drive Dual Layer, 1 X DVD Writer with 7-in-1 USB readers for memory cards, camera cards, etc...
PSU: 650 W
Case: Custom Case with side Neon Fans

It works, can play Source games, and cruise internets and make movies/burn DVDs

It's about all I can afford/need

Nice case!
Nice processor, that i7 should mean you won't need to upgrade your CPU for a while. You can probably clock it around 3.8 GHz with that cooler too.

One word of advise though: make sure you buy a quality power supply. 700W is enough for that rig, but 700W from a dodgy manufacturer won't cut it. What is the make & model of the PSU?

4.5 out of 5 mate, if the PSU is indeed of a quality brand like Hamish says. A 5 would be with a top end GPU, rest is already there =P Oh and minor nitpick, it's 6 GB of RAM, not GHz =P

On another note, that is one mother of a case...The hell do you need a case that big for? =P You only have 2 HDD's! XD

If hes listened to anything ive told him he will have made the right choice on everything.

The case has very good airflow so will be better suited to cooling the i7 he's bought which would run toasty in an enclosed space. The only gripe ive got with him is buying the Triton heatsink.

Damn andy, thats like the non budget form of my PC

I'm getting a 2,5GHz dual core, instead of your 3 GHz
GTX 260 instead of your GTX 275
I will have 6 GB RAM like u tho

And I'm prolly getting a 22" instead of that 24" -.-
