this morning when i was playing i went to get some food and put myself as a spectator. For some reason then players stopped being able to move at odd times, they were freezing up and getting stuck where they stood. Aftr a bit I got kicked for a 'spec bug' and when i came back on it said i couldn't spectate (not a sponsor or core admin) but then let me anyway.
Then, i think it was teleporno, told me he might have to kick me again, 'cause players were getting stuck in me.
weird.

I used to run a server and know that sometimes it can be a thankless task so I'm just stopping in to say thanks since I've been playing CSS on your servers for the last week or so and have had a great time, they are well run and a friendly place to be. Well done. I and my friends are grateful for the time you put in to keep it that way.

Aparently not.
Im liking the new warmup rounds Moggie! Any chance of testing/having it so that you can spawn in the warmup round whenever u join the round? That way we can have more fun
Hi, first I would like to say that I have been playing on your CS:S Noob heaven server for two weeks and it's a brilliant server which is really fun.
Now I know I’m new but I would like to add my two cents on the server. I have been happily playing original maps and was happy when I found this server because I hate having to download mods. When I connected today, I was met with a modded dust2 I would just like to say that I prefer the original and a few people have commented in agreement during play.
I know many people have been playing the same maps for years and a new configuration is a new map to play, however I think that the current dust 2 is just a random placement of random objects which makes the map less fun.
Please don’t take this the wrong way, I’m just offering my view and I will continue to play your excellent server, along with the other maps. Thank you for reading.
This is less of a suggestion and more of an inquiry, but i couldn't really see anywhere else to put it xD I'm just wondering exactly when the css fight nights are now? Because the last i heard they were meant to be on Thursday and Sunday, but nowadays they seem to happen a lot more randomly. Of course i understand that the shiny new TF2 fight nights are taking up everyone's attention but it is nice to get a nice noobing going on around css from time to time.
I also understand that someone needs to run the fight night, and cores might not always be available to do so, and admittedly there are more important things in the world xD
On the same theme but a different not, i thought i'd use this thread to say how much i love playing here and being part of the community, i found UKMD (or Team MX as it then was) about 2 weeks into playing css and have barely played on any other servers xD
I'm not sure how many map makers there are out there, but maybe it would be worth having a regular half hour or so slot to show off new maps, I have one which I think is ready, Eden and Benny have also made maps, I would like to do a further playtest, as i'm sure others would also, it would be nice if someone allowd us a regular server slot, once a fortnight maybe at some ungodly hour? I really enjoy playing on the servers, and it would be great to get an idea of peoples developments, map making takes a long time as you probably know, but I'm at the point with mine now that I don't know how to proceed any further with getting it onto a server if appropriate. I have had some really positive feedback about it.
Anyway back to work and I look forward to getting owned later.

I know that there was a test server that one of our members had.. Im a core admin on that test server and it has about 10-20 slots.
I dont think I can upload maps anyhow, but it the owner (forgot his name as i havnt played so long ) uploaded the maps then I could help out with changing the maps.
Now, I havnt seen the owner around for a very long time, but the servers are still running. At the weekend i'll see if i can contact him on steam again and let you know on here
Fight nights started as a regular time and place when all Team MX tried to be on together and have a laugh, which was difficult back then as there were less than 30 of them.
They progressed into moggie's test nights, when he'd throw on new maps or plugins for the server and give them a go (any one else remember the tree spawning night, with giant trees, office blocks and trains spawning randomly about the maps? )
Then they just became regular n00b nights, with music and team mx vs the rest rounds.
Moggie has since become snowed under with work and baby, so gave the neccesary commands to bats, so the randomness on these nights could continue, with flash wars being one of the new highlights.
Bats has lately been busy and away from home on courses (on how to camp spawn better) so the neccesary commands are now also sitting with CAWA.
TF2 fightnights started off when our original tf2 server died (Valve, even though you fixed it, I still hate you for that damn custom tab) and we had little or no traffic on our new one. It was nicks Idea, and fair play to him for pushing it, it became a regular Tuesday play of TF2 for the few n00bs that had it and wanted to play with other UKMDers, much in the same way fightnights were for the CSS crowd in the early days of Team mx. The TF2 fightnights (every Tuesday) helpfully bridged the gap until our badwater server became popular and got its own regular crowd on it and was standing on its own 2 feet.
Every Tuesday now is TF2 fightnight, where we UKMDers get to join in together at a regular time and place and play a map that isn't badwater together. We don't have flashwars or ukmd vs, because the commands aren't there for it. Alls we do is give ourselves the opportunity for playing in different arenas, with fellow ukmd n00bs, and generally just have a laugh playing the game
Css fightnights are dependant on one of the three people, moggie, cawa, or bats, being about to set off all the n00bness you've come to associate with fightnights, so not neccesarily on a sunday or thursday, but when possible on an ad-hoc basis.
Personally, I think every night is a fightnight, theres usually someone about that can play the tunes (Moggie, major, tito, riley, cawa, bats and myself), theres usually bucketloads of UKMD on the server, and having the crazy stuff happen randomly, not necessarily on a fight night, keeps the server fresh and interesting all week long, especially for those that can't make sunday or thursday nights.
Saying that, perhaps a return to scheduled Css fightnights when one of the appropriate people know when they are going to be on (like the one we advertised in the news for the introduction of cpl_mill)..........

Thanks matey, would be good to get your input, I will make map available to anyone that wants it.

I have to say that random music/map changing/spped rounds etc... are rather frustrating when unexpected. I don't mind on fight nights but when you just want a 'normal' night and someone comes on and starts playing about it can be annoying, for me anyway!

A regular, or scheduled fight night would be much better than random/sporadic events as they tend to annoy some of the randoms and regulars. At least if it is a scheduled/regular occurence people would know that they should avoid the server if they aren't interested in listening to our music selection, joining flash wars or any of the other fight night specials! Also regular fight nights would make it easier for serious Victims to attend so we can get to know them a bit better and avoid recruiting 'twats' and having to end up banning clan members!
I have to say I found the old MX style fight nights more entertaining than recent ones, no offence to those hosting them Perhaps it's because my style of play has changed a bit, but I just find them a bit ott these days I find that having your speed doubled halfway through a round is very annoying, but it's not annoying if it is done at the start of a round, just my opinion....... But anyway scheduled fight nights FTW, random fight nights FTL!!

No apology needed Cawa And no offence intended, just my opinion and I'm sure many will disagree with me I do still look forward to fight nights, but I find myself getting frustrated sometimes BTW what was the little symbol thingy? It confused me! lol

Imagine This: Going to a massive game server, where everyone knows everyone else, its all taken in a good manner and there to be enjoyed. The way Gaming should be. Thats what we do every day!
Like None Other Team MX is like no other 'clan' ever conceived, we are a team, Team MX. We're probably the largest UK clan ever, we have over 170 team members with well over 130 of them actively playing. Team MX is over a year old now, celabrating its first birthday in November last year. Headed up by the worlds biggest n00b, MoggieX and backed up by some outstanding n00blets, known as the core admins.
We don't recruit twats! Quite frankly we ain't interested in matches, or 'twats' (mainly gobby teanagers, you know the ones), if this is something you're looking for, or are, you're not in the right place at all. However, IF you are a utter n00b (like I am, MoggieX) and enjoy the 'whole' online gaming expereince, where you can make friends from all over the world, then you have found yourself a new home.
A Little More About Team MX Also quite interestingly, every Team MX member gets a limited amount of admin privilages, its been the norm for people to pay for such rights, here you get them free and you can also feel at ease that there is only small group of admins, the core admins that have the access to any player abuse commands. So you can play in realtive safety, knowing that the server you're on is patrolled by an army of admins. We have members from the ages of 9 to well past retirement, probably with an average age twice that of other clans, a prime example that this is no ordinary clan.
Joining Team MX We don't let just any old person join, you have to prove yourself over a long period of time. If you're turning up here thinking you're going to join us in a few days, you're sorely mistaken. In most cases it takes over a month to be recruited and thats just the lucky ones! People (not players) rarely leave Team MX, if they do, we never really seem to get rid of them, lol.
