It about time games developers realise the potential of co-op games and my my we have a few corkers lined up

Red Alert 3 - Developed with co-op in mind. Single player will have AI as your friend, otherwise online/LAN play to have a proper friend to bitch at when it all goes wrong

Call of Duty - 4 player co-op through the entire single player campaign. Oh this is going to be sweet. The hectic battles of cod4 set back in WW2.

Mercs 2 - Just released, think Just Cause with PS2 graphics. Its not bad but seems daft that everything can be destroyed (even by just looking at it)

Im sure there were some more to come. Far Cry 2 I think, will need to check tho

However its a relatively untapped arena and one that could make a lot of money for the people who do it right

No one's mentioned "Left 4 Dead" yet. Let's face it, if anyone's going to get co-op play right, it's Valve.

Lol I didnt mention L4D as there is already a thread about it. Plus these games not mentioned.

And yes Red Alert 3 will be awesome, Jenny McCarthy plays Tanya (shame as I liked the old Tanya)

L4D supports 8 players.

Whilst we're on the topic:

http://uk.pc.ign.com/articles/913/913954p1.html

Valve's system specs.

Roll on November 20th (which is my daughters bday, funnily enough)
Roll on November 21st then!

Any words Moggs on whether or not you're planning on putting up some L4D servers? 'cause that would be mint.

Army of 2 had a good co-op mode.

for most gamers playing is a casual experience so unlikely to be a huge thing for developers to focus on as there is not much of a market. Look at us, we rarely play as a team in public so for the mass markets co-op is low down the list. TF2 has hit the mark with different classes and different attributes, this does mean some form of CO-OP(or spar) is needed to be succesful.
