History of Team MX.
Basically I [MoggieX] needed somewhere to be a CS:S n00b to and not care about it. I used to play on the Team SAS BigPimP all the time, until something changed with my ISP's routing and my pings went to an average of 130ms from 30ms, which meant I would be kicked from thier server every round or so.
So came the birth of our MX server, which came to life on Sunday 17th Dec 2006, within a few days a small community had built up and players were asking me to start a clan up, so I did and within a few weeks we have over 30 members and are now starting to think about taking part in clan wars.
On the 1st of January 2007, another clan 'Just Luck' joined us, bringing in around 5/7 new members and the clan name 'Team MX' was born. Of which one or two of those members are still active today!
The WebsiteThe website your on now, isn't the first incarnation of the Team MX website, previously I used Jamoola and phpBB forums, however as they were not directy connected, I moved to an excellent CMS (Content Management System) called e107, which I have used on many websites and had more features that I could ever want. I'm sure you'll agree this website is pretty cool!
Its undergone numerous incarnations to what it is today, with some 150,000 database entries and some of the most spammed forums known to man.
About MoggieXI have always enjoyed online gaming and still remeber the first time I ever played Team Fortress Classic [TFC], back then I never would ahve believed that I would end up running gaming servers for the next 6 years!
The ServerWe used to have just one dedicated server, at the time of writing this, we have 4 with another 2 deeicated servers on the way, spanning multiple game types.
The counter Strike Source servers were renamed to
UK | MAN DOWN! in march this year in the memory of my son who died shortly after birth. I felt it knida of fitting in the name, so that he can always be remembered.
My sole intention for this CS:S server is to get it ranked within the top 20 UK servers on game-monitor.com. I got a TFC server to #1 worldwide previously in 2006 for 6 months and see no reason why this cannot be acheived again with CS:S. (this has been acheived!)

New Members - The life BloodMy views on new members is quite simple, the more the merrrier. We now have husbands, wifes, sons, daughters and even nieces in our team, ranging from the ages of 8/9 to over 40. At the time of writing this, we have 285 members with over 1000 people registered on the website!
A note around this is that I am quite trusting in people who I meet as I believe that essentially everyone is good, thats why Team MX members get admin rights and with common sense & a firm hand for abusers, they can do the whole gaming experince good, rather than a negative effect (which I have personally seen over the years)
ConclusionAnyway, thats enough for now, I sincerly hope you enjoy the server(s) as much as I do and will one day join us, in Team MX
