My mate recently aquired UT3 last week and wants to play online but all the servers are packed to the eyeballs with 1337 haxors and therefore his head doesnt stay on for longer than 4 seconds at a time.

Anyway does anyone know a UKMD-esque n00b server for the game so he has somewhere to start up?

Cheers!

TBH if you have ever played UT3 you will have found this out the hard way , you will be extremely lucky to find more than a handful of servers under 100 ping , it appears nobody this side of the atlantic plays it, and those that do are the type you mention.

The bots are excellent and i would reccomend he/she does some hardcore training with progressing bot difficulty settings in offline mode , that should prepare you for all but the most l337

some sniping action on Deck is an excellent way to start and it is the same map as it was in the previous versions so you will still know your way round if you played the original.

or just ask the UKMD members with UT3 (including me ) to play against him through hamachi. i still have the old channel up and running and have a pc that can probs host for about ten people without serious inet issues.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOO thanks guys.

AI: I've passed your advice on to my mate and he's guna do some pwning while offline. I had a go online the other day and came 6th in a deathmatch against some pretty 1337 players - close range flak cannon ftw

Coci: Much appreciation for offering a game! Wana set up a day/time etc and get some people involved? I'll post a new forum thread to see who wants to get involved. Sound like a plan?
