As the title suggest I need advice on which gaming mouse to buy. I'm a student so I' not what you'd call wealthy
I'm not looking for anything fancy, and preferably under £30. I'd be grateful for some advice. Thanks in advance

Can't go wrong with this one. You might want to search and see if you can get it cheap elsewhere however.

Microsoft Intellimouse Optical or Explorer have been used by gamers for years. Not hard-core gaming mice but perfectly adequate and used by many including myself for years. Well made bits of kit and well under £30

I now use Logitech G5 (2nd edition or whatever it's called) - nice mouse with lots of things like adjustable dpi and weight, which I never use. And of course these things start creeping up over £30 .....

Is there much difference between a laser and optical mouse or is the laser just a bit more accurate?

Has anyone tried the Logitech MX 700 as it seems to be fairly high spec and cheap too. It has 800 DPI - is that good for gaming?

I have Mx518 also. Love the mouse but one thing to be aware of if you have clumsy sausage fingers like me. The mouse wheel doubles as a button but it's pretty close to the two small buttons that adjust sensitivity on the fly. Useful if you want to switch to/from sniping not so much fun when you hit one accidently in them middle of a frantic firefight and spin round 360 or struggle to turn as though on a joypad (urrrghhh).

Now I'm confused. Should I get it or not?? I have fairly small hands and fingers so I shouldn't really have problems (I hope).
If I get this mouse, do you know anywhere I can get it cheap apart from ebay or amazon?
