My claim to fame would be:

(1)Getting Hit on the head by Timmy Mallet with his big hammer!
(2)Overtaking Solberg on a roundabout between stages on the Welsh Rally!
(3)Met 'Lightning' (that fit blonde Gladiator) @ the local carnival!
(4)DJ Cat once read my name out on that ancient breakfast show, The DJ Cat Show!
(5)Also a pic of me on Judge Jules' Website @ BCM in Magaluf on jun 28 2004! (The guy in white off his face!)

Been on TV couple of times (about 45 secs in total, you had to vcr it and review )
Been in a magazine once (article on pubs with pic and I was in that)
Took care of some dutch TV-celebs (privacy, wont tell u anymore)
Took care of few Olympic Athletes ( mostly hockey, male / female) (see: TV-celebs)

Been to England, yes. Rode the London Subway, saw the rest there is to see in London (Tourist Vision!) visited Cambridge (welknown for its uni, I got the McD spot on), Been to the house of that ancient serie "To the manor born", saw Land's End & The Whites Of Dover, ate scones, had tea...

FASTEST RECRUITMENT IN MX HISTORY (6 respawns with vic tags) !!
It took me several hours (look it up) to fill out my vic form, which no-one had read before I got voted on...

Played rugby at school against Martin 'Cariots' Offiah and in the same Uni team as Mike Hall (Wales, British Lions). Played against Paul Thorburn, Dai Evans, Les Cusworth, Dusty Hare, John Wells, Paul Dodge and Clive Woodward (not all at the same time!) Also had Mike Wedderburn (now Sky Sports) run around me in a county game when we were both much younger and slimmer. I think he has just got more hair than me now!!!!!)

Met Chas Chandler a couple of times when I was in a club band. He was bass player with The Animals before going on to manage Jimi Hendrix/ Slade.
Also met Royston Vasey (Chubby Brown) when I was working in Middlesbrough, our firm supplied the trademark round rim specs he was wearing at the time

Semi-finalist on BBC Masterchef (the original, not this new "reality" one ^o) )

Appeared in a 6 part series for BBC Wales cooking with a chef called John Tovey (of whom you've never heard, I'd guess)

30 second slot on BBC "Food and Drink" giving a Xmas cooking tip (there might be a vid over in the photos thread, somewhere. EDIT: It's still on YouTube link )

Took part in "Beat the Chef" on ITV This Morning against Lesley Waters (I didn't *-) )

More relevant to this forum, my mini-review of NecroVisioN was published in PCZone last month (won a game (Y) )

I also got "Star Letter" in Bike magazine a while back. New tyres for the bike (Y)

I've got 2 I suppose ...

I met Sir Paul McCartney and that old skank (Heather Mills) back when I used to work in Birkenhead's Virgin Megastore. They came in with a couple of minders. The senior staff were tryin to get him to sign stuff - which he declined. Paul was resting his voice, so didn't speak unfortunately - I served Heather Mills at till and looked up at him (he wasn't at the counter with her, was in DVD section - and she bought charty crap btw! -ftl!)...so as I looked at him, he winked at me - so I nodded back at him and waved - was all rather surreal. Would've been cool to actually chat to him tho

Oh - and I met the Commonwealth Games (96/97?) ladies Swimming teams (lovely ladies ) - when they were in Vancouver, Canada as they came aboard the ship we were stayin on (my dad was Purser and me and 2 sisters were stayin on the ship) ...so the swimming girls and their mum and a few other swimmers from other countries were aboard ...I remember how the Mum of the English Gold-winning girls were passing the swimming costume around - she'd made it herself with loads of sequins etc - was really heavy!!

I know Dave Formula, who plays keyboards for Magazine (and the lesser know Angel Brothers), also near to completing his first solo album (y) I've been good friends with his son since we were about 4 and we're currently housemates.

For those who don't know Magazine, they're a post-punk band from late 70s-early 80s link who essential were the direct influence for Radiohead. They reformed last year and are still touring around Britain I think.

Here's my fav song by them Dave still has his hair in this vid lol (Warning: Contains strong language - not suitable for the young ones)

[yt]Om0jhPkOwhg[/yt]

Bit of trivia for y'all, when looking to replace their guitarist John McGeoch, who died in 2004, one of the people they considered was none other than Matthew Bellamy from Muse :o Unfortunatly he couldn't fit the tours dates tho as he had to go off with Muse to Australia for their own tour.

Hmmm, lemme see....
- Used to know Rob Halford (Judas Priest), I dated a female friend of his
- Used to practice with most of the Yorkshire Cricket Team when I was 8-9, and managed to bowl one Sir Geoffrey Boycott.
- Married to best selling author (in Ireland) Tracy Culleton (my high point)
- Been in a couple of documentary programs on RTE (Irish equivalent of BBC), and yes my life is that interesting
- Just sold my car to the man who played Bran the Magician in The Morbegs (more Irish TV)
- Captained a cricket team with at least one Sri Lankan ex-test cricketer (one of the Jayawardenes)
- Marched in the St. Patrick's day Parade in Dublin
- One way or another, bumped in to most of the cast of Glenroe (Irish TV again.... OK, it's a small country)
- Met Sir Freddie Trueman when he came out to Saudi Arabia to give a talk.
- Had breakfast with Ari Vatenenen in Belfast just before the old (late 1970s) Circuit of Ireland rally. Couple of others too, but he was the one who stood out. One articluate nutter.
- Reported to Scott McNealy (Sun Microsystems) twice. Didn't get fired either time
- Managed to Get Clive Lloyd's autograph (West Indian cricket captain in the 70s, but I got him before he was big.... famous, he was always a big man)
- Another quite local issue, I got to know and work with a woman called Susan McHugh in 1993, who started a peace movement in Ireland as a reaction to the Warrington bomb, which demonstrated that the IRA did NOT have a mandate from the majority of the Irish people. A huge step in the peace process, and I am fortunate to have met and worked with her.

- And finally, I am privileged to have played with a lot of the members above, and others on these forums, some of who are more famous than others here, but are all equal N00bs

- had some appearances on Dutch TV with one of the bands I played in
(het Journaal on a gig on a anti-racism day on De Dam, Amsterdam, and some footage on a bandrehearsal and an interview on that VPRO music program - forgot the name)
- met a LOT of wellknown bands & musicians between 1990 - 2000 (as I spend most of my nighs in the Paradiso + Melkweg in Amsterdam back then - the Dutchies will know 'm) like the Stones, Ramones, Pixies, Dick Dale, Motorhead.. long list really.
- bumped in to Harvey Keitel turning a corner. Both said "sorry", smiled and moved on.
- had a nice chat for about an hour with Mary Ann Hobbs during one of her shows.

- shook hands with Sinterklaas! ;]
