Zombie Master FREE Client Download

Zombie Master In Short

Zombie Master is a multiplayer Half-Life 2 modification, centred around a zombie-apocalypse, which throws all but one player in the shoes of human survivors. Pitched against a relentless tide of rotting flesh, they must scavenge for weaponry and equipment just to stay alive. But that one player, chosen randomly at the beginning of the round, is not bound by mortal restraints.

To speak his name is to invite the wrath of hell - but most call him the 'Zombie Master'. He is nigh omnipotent. His invisible hand controls the legions of undead like puppets on strings; slowly closing the net on the humans while they run to and fro like rats in a maze.
Why is Zombie Master different?

The common concept behind your average zombie horror game is, if you’ll excuse the pun, used to death. There are hundreds of games and modifications founded on this most simple idea; an undead zombie horde that spreads like a cancer, feasting on a few disorganised survivors who try and defend themselves. Zombie Master isn’t trying to break away from this core gameplay element, and neither does it try to "redefine the genre", or fulfil any other fabricated promise. No, what Zombie Master tries to do is challenge the players.

Zombie games are, for the most part, incredibly brainless. You’re usually thrown against an army of rotting computer-controlled corpses, that have the simple task of walking towards a player and then attempting to bite their neck off. Most of the time they get shot a fair bit in the process. Of course, then you have the games on the other end of the scales, mostly multiplayer, that allow players to take control of a zombie. The trouble is, the gameplay is either incredibly tedious and slow for the zombie, or the player zombie seems too intelligent, moving and fighting like a pro gamer rather than a mindless wretch.

Zombie Master is a unique multiplayer modification in that it maintains the tense, frightening atmosphere of a zombie horror game whilst truly challenging the player to think tactically and never underestimate their enemy. It manages to do this because humans only have one enemy- not an army of computer controlled corpses, or group of experienced players- but one single foe. The Zombie Master. He controls everything; his power is absolute. He can create zombies at will; and he leads them. Orders them. Rules them. He can hide a minion in a place that no computer would think of; flank players in a manoeuvre that is least expected, and plan strategies that player zombies are too impatient to execute. He is omnipotent. He is god. He is the Zombie Master.
The Human Team

So, how do a group of rag-tag civilians, weak from exhaustion and ill-equipped for survival, go about defeating the player who holds the all-powerful title of “Zombie Master”? Well, it’s simple. They don’t. Depending on the scenario, humans will be forced to team up in order to tackle a variation of objectives- such as repairing a crashed van to escape with, gaining entry to a military bunker, or simply getting out of the area alive. The Zombie Master; being the general git that he (or she) is, will do everything possible to stop them.

It would be wise to keep in mind that humans usually survive longer against their callous foe if they make use of the environment around them. Tables, chairs and crates can all be stuffed in doorways and corridors to slow the undead advance (although “slow” is the best it will do, as the Zombie Master has many a trick up his sleeve / her bra). If, however, a more offensive strategy is needed- guns, sharp pointy things and objects that explode are generally effective if you feel like spilling some blood. Problems can arise, however, if the zombies manage to surround you- or your ammunition depletes faster than you'd have hoped!

The solution to all your unholy problems, thankfully, is teaming up. While a lone straggler will be devoured by zombies before you can say “holy shit a zombie is eating me”, a well organised cluster of humans, each looking out for the other and keeping one finger on the trigger, are more likely to smite most of the undead in their path and cause the Zombie Master to stomp up and down on his hat / her dainty parasol in anger. In fact, most of the objectives will be incredibly hard to do without some friends watching your back or helping you out.
The Zombie Master

At the beginning of each new round, a player is selected at random to become the Zombie Master. It’s a tough job, commanding a legion of unholy damned to crush any pathetic mortals that get in your way, but someone’s got to do it. As time goes on the Master constantly gathers a pool of “resources”, which he can use to animate more dead to join his cause. Killing a human player (preferably in a very gruesome and terrifying way) will bag the Zombie Master a substantial amount of bonus resources, which can prove essential for building those huge armies.

While human players would be forgiven for not stopping to inspect every shuffling horror they encounter, a keen eye might spot that the Zombie Master can actually summon a number of different zombie types to do his bidding. Other than the standard shambling corpses (the bare bones of your horde, slow but hard-hitting), there’s also rumours of faster units; running dead that can pounce on humans from a distance... and even hulking brutes that seem to have developed immortal strength. There’ve even been sightings of bizarre creatures that spit blood and command flames to disorientate the humans. Combining these various units allows for unique and efficient tactics. For instance; a skilled Zombie Master could attack with some expendable shamblies to distract the humans, while secretly concealing heavy brutes within a small house. Once the trap is set, faster units could be ordered into the fray, forcing the humans to retreat for cover- right into your zombie-infested building.

If you think the fun stops there, however- you’re sorely mistaken. At certain points in a map there are environmental actions or events that the Zombie Master can 'trigger'. These useful exploits, the so-called 'manipulates', can range from setting explosives alight, causing immediate danger for anyone nearby- to sending a bolt of deadly lighting down from the heavens. Whether manipulates are used as spooky scare-tactics or to actually deal damage, is all up to the Zombie Master. It’s essential to keep in mind, however, that these “manipulates” cost valuable resources to activate... and shouldn’t be used frivolously.
Features
Human team:

* A wide range of weapons to scavenge such as shotguns, molotov cocktails, rifles and more
* A number of challenging objectives that encourage players to team up and work together
* The ability to interact with the environment to build barricades and carry objects

Zombie Master:

* Real Time Strategy gameplay; create and command your own undead horde
* A wide variation of zombie units encourages the ZM to adopt complex tactics
* Environmental "manipulates" allow the ZM to interact with the world in devilish ways

Zombie Panic! Source ZPS Free Client Download

About Zombie Panic:

The basic idea of the Zombie Panic is to create solid game play that is based on a classic zombie outbreak scenario, the living dead are coming for the last remaining humans, and these survivors must fight them off and live through the day.

The game works like this:

Everyone joins a server, in the beginning you can either choose to join the human team or you can volunteer to be the first zombie. If no one volunteers the game will pick one human randomly and the game begins. The starter zombie's goal is to, of course kill the humans while the human goal is to stay alive as long as possible, complete objectives, or even wipe out all the zombies. The catch is that when a human is slayed he will simply join the ranks of the undead, now ready to finish off his old living teammates.
The humans can't tell by the player list who's alive and who's not, eventually there will only be one survivor still standing if all goes wrong, facing all the zombies which use to be allies, with his back to a wall. The zombies only have a certain number of reinforcements (lives), when a zombie is killed they lose 1 life from the counter. However, when a human is killed they gain 1 life. If the zombies only have 1 respawn left the humans can win the round by killing off the remaining undead left on the map.

This is the main concept of how the game works but of course, but with additional game modes there is a bit more variety to it.

Human Advantages:

Speed - A zombie can only run at about 80% of the top speed of a human player. Though, the more weaponry and ammo a human picks up, the more it will slow him down tremendously, making him an easy target for the undead. If carrying nothing a human can easily outrun a zombie. Watch out so you don't get cornered...

Weapons - The humans will have a wide selection of different weapons to use for defending themselves, like firearms, explosives and melee weapons. It is essential for humans to locate weapons and ammo around the map in order to survive, since you only spawn with a random melee weapon and handgun scavenging is a must. Remember that your inventory is limited and hogging weapons will slow you down, so sharing with your teammates is a must which also promotes teamwork.

Numbers - At the beginning of the round, there is only one zombie and everyone else is a Survivor. This means that they can easily watch each others backs and provide cover fire. However, once their ammo starts to run dry and they begin to squabble amongst themselves for the few precious clips of ammo available...

Communication - Instead of typing messages to each other (occupying busy hands), which can be really dangerous when the zombies are lurking in the shadows, the humans will have the ability to communicate by voice commands. There will be a menu with several commands that can help the humans to organize a defense, trade ammunition and request help.

Zombie abilities and advantages:

Regeneration - Zombies will over time regenerate hit points making it more difficult for survivors to make dead the undead.

Carrier - The first Zombie of the round will differ a lot from the other undead, he will look different, sound different and have abilities that the average zombie can only dream of. He is the Carrier! More info on this will come later.

Persistence - Zombies may seem to die often, but they won't give up. They just keep re-spawning over and over until your pistol runs out of bullets, your back is to the wall, and there is no escape.

Numbers - Later on in the game, as the undead ranks swell with the freshly dead, the last few humans will find their superior weaponry small compensation for the hordes of zombies that close in.

Zombie Vision - With the zombies not being able to use a flashlight, we have given them the ability to use Zombie Vision. Z-vision works in a way that it brightens up any possible light source in a room to make it more viewable. More importantly, humans that keep active will slowly begin to glow red making it easier for a zombie to track their prey. To prevent games of hide and seek a survivor over a period of time of sitting still will also start to glow red by fear of the unknown.

We want the mod to feel creepy and give you a sense of desperation, and yet not take itself so seriously that you can't laugh at the way you got slayed. Overall fun and playability is the priority, where is realism and horror while important are just a bonus when possible. We want a mod that you can easily play with any number of people, even with small numbers or uneven numbers. Plus, there's a certain sense of satisfaction in tearing apart the heartless survivors who failed to protect you while you were alive, limb from limb.

Storyline

In the early 1950s human genetics experimentation was taking its first, tentative steps. Amongst many other black projects, a team of British scientists working at an Infinitum Research experimental station stumbled across some remarkable phenomena involving DNA manipulation. This led to deeper research with dangerously unpredictable results, often leading to human patients losing their lives in irresponsible and immoral experiments.

Time passed on, and by the mid 1990s the failure rate of the experiments had been reduced from 75% to a mere 15%, enough for Infinitum to move onto the next stage: Biological Light Refraction. The British team were hoping to unravel the possibilities of light manipulation to create the perfect covert military agent. Early into the new millennium, due to a gross miscalculation, a series of tests on Subject 617 led to a massive synaptic trauma leaving the patient with multiple genetic anomalies.

The subject was left in constant pain and with unstable DNA. The subject escaped captivity, killing anyone that got in its way. The I.R.I.S. (Infinitum Research Interception Squad) team have been deployed to return the subject to a maximum security Infinitum Research facility for further study and dissection. The entire project was considered a failure: all funding ceased and development was discontinued while all records and traces of the experiments were destroyed. Infinitum Research denies all knowledge of any form of human DNA manipulation but are more than happy to comment on the possibilities of cloning human organs inside suitable animal donors. It is believed that these organ cloning experiments form the main cover for their human genetic manipulation experimentations.

Subject 617, known as 'The Hidden', must turn the tables and become the hunter instead of the hunted as the I.R.I.S. team close their net around him.
History

The Hidden began life as a Half Life 1 modification created by a group led by Mark Wherrett during their final year at the University of Lincoln (UK). It's simple, yet enthralling gameplay led to further years of students clamouring for more. Mark found he no longer had the time to re-create the mod in any other engine and so it was passed on to a new generation.

While we are allowed to show pictures and talk about the original version, it is not available for download nor will it ever be at the request of Mark, who feels it would not be a good indication as to the quality of work being produced in the remake.

Fortress Forever Version 2.0 Full Client Setup Free Download

Fortress Forever is a Team Fortress mod for Half-life 2's Source Engine. Our independent team has created this mod entirely from scratch.

Fortress Forever should please those who have stuck with or been a part Half-life: TFC over the years while at the same time doing more for new TF players than any prior Fortress attempt.

Fortress Forever is free to those who purchase Half-life 2.

What is Fortress Forever?

Fortress Forever is a FREE online, multiplayer, class-based mod for the Half-Life 2 PC game. It was originally created by a group of Team Fortress Classic(TFC) players. After many years of waiting for the Release of TF2, with limited to no information at the time regarding TF2's production, most of the TFC community considered TF2 vaporware. With no evidence of continued production of TF2, the community took the TFC sequel into their own hands.

The project's early stages began in early August of 2004, where planning and forming began. http://www.fortress-forever.com launched in late november of that year. With the launch of the website much interest was sparked within the community. With a final promise of a TFC sequel many fans of the series gathered in support behind the team. Roughly three years in the making, and Fortress Forever was finally released on September 13th, 2007.
Gameplay
Classes

Fortress Forever can accommodate many types of playing. Thanks to the class system, it's easy choosing a loadout that fits your playing style. Like to run into the enemy's base, grab the flag and run out before half of the enemy team notices you? Try the Scout. Like to pick-off things from far away, but want weapons that'll work if somebody gets too close? Play as the Sniper. Ever had the urge to gib people with an enormous rocket launcher? Play the Soldier. Not good at using big guns, but you love to plan where things will be and what will happen? Play as the Engineer.
Weapons

In Fortress Forever we offer a wide variety of weapons to use against your opponent. Every class has their standard uniform of weapons. Standard Melee: which is used as last resort, humiliation, or just for fun. Standard Gun: these are your standard shotguns, super shotguns, and nailguns, which are shared by many classes. Then we have our Specialty Weapons: these include everything from the medkit to the Sentry gun. These are the weapons that are class specific, and are what give a class its uniqueness. You can read more about these weapons by clicking on the class descriptions to the right of the page.
Game Types

Fortress Forever has a wide variety of gametypes. You can start off with Capture the Flag, where you must grab the flag in the enemy's base and bring it back to yours. If you feel that's too cliche, then try out Attack and Defend, where one team tries to take control of points while the defenders try to stop them. Or are you the type that wants to defend and control something? Give Territory Control a test drive, where players must successfully capture and defend points on a map. If you want something completely different, try out Hunted, where a weak civilian must be escorted to a point by bodyguards while assassins try to kill him. Wanna show off your skills? Try out a conc map, where players must strategically use grenades and jumping to overcome obstacles. Don't care about any of that crap? Chill out in deathmatch mode, where the only thing you have to worry about is killing enemies.
Maps

Fortress Forever has a large variety of maps. Wanna play CTF in monkey-themed ancient temples? Go to ff_monkey. Feel the need to capture control points in a futuristic arena? ff_cz2 is waiting. In the mood to take control of a ghost town in the desert? ff_dustbowl is for you. Ever has the urge to spill some blood at a soccer arena? ff_dm wants you!
Modability

Fortress Forever is extremely easy to mod, thanks to the LUA scripting language. With it, you can edit nearly everything, from how much ammo is in a backpack to floors that fling the player across the map. With some time, you can make new gamemodes, such as a race between two players, co-op maps that force players to work together to survive hazards and pass obstacles, and even golf.

In addition, you can make maps for Fortress Forever as soon as you install it. Fortress Forever uses Half-Life 2's resources in addition to custom-made ones, so there are plenty of themes for you to utilize in your maps, such as Combine, City 17, Wild West, urban and even classic Half-Life 1.

Client console command, can be entered in console at any time.
- Displays important server settings

"zb_netinfo"
- Client console command, can be entered in console at any time.
- Displays clientside netsettings (rates, interpolation, prediction, lag compensation)

"zb_version"
- Client console command, can be entered in console at any time.
- Displays version of zBlock currently installed on the server

"zb_help"
- Client console command, can be entered in console at any time.
- Displays important server settings, aswell as available zBlock commands

--

"zb_lo3"
- Server console command, needs to be used through RCON (IE: rcon zb_lo3)
- Executes config defined in "zb_matchconfig"
- Restarts the round 3 times
- Returning startmoney to value set in "zb_startmoney" (Default 800)

"zb_readyup"
- Server console command, needs to be used through RCON (IE: rcon zb_readyup)
- Use zb_readyup to start, or stop the readyup sequence
- Accepts "1" or "0" as parameter, "1" enabling readyup, "0" disabling readyup.
- Allows all players to set themselves as ready
- When all players are ready, zb_lo3 is triggered

--

"zb_readyup_max" (Default: 10)
- Server console settings, needs to be set through RCON (IE: rcon zb_readyup_max 6)
- Minimum number of players required to be ready to initiate lo3

"zb_matchconfig" (Default: None)
- Server console settings, needs to be set through RCON (IE: rcon zb_matchconfig calcss.cfg)
- Match config to be executed before initiating the live on 3 sequence

"zb_startmoney" (Default: 800)
- Server console settings, needs to be set through RCON (IE: rcon zb_startmoney 5000)
- The amount that startmoney should be returned to after the live on 3 sequence is completed.
- This is to prevent players from regaining full money by using "retry" in the second round of overtime.

A note about sv_pure:
------------------------

zBlock will allow sv_pure to take any value so that it is also compliant with other mods, however warning messages will be provided whilst "sv_pure 2" is not enabled, all league servers should have the setting "sv_pure 2" in their server.cfg's.
"sv_consistency 1" is also required for league play and again a warning message will be given when this is not active.

LAN Mode
------------

LAN mode will become active with the following changes made:
sv_lan 1
sv_unlag 0

This will cause zBlock to run with optimal settings for LAN gaming.

Plugin not loading?
---------------------

If the plugin does not seem to be loading, here are some tips for troubleshooting the issue.

1.Restart the server and join and type "rcon plugin_print", is zBlock listed in the list of plugins?
-If it is, then maybe "zb_active" is set to '0'.

2.Load the plugin manually using:
rcon plugin_load "../cstrike/addons/zblock"

View the message which appears, this should help you locate the issue.

3.Stop your server.
Remove all zBlock files from your "addons/" directory.
Make sure the server is up-to-date using the hldsupdatetool (use the "-verify_all" command line option when updating to check for corrupt files).
Re-install zBlock as per the instructions in this text file. (Make sure your version of zBlock is also the latest).
Restart the server.

4.Contact your server adminstrator/GSP staff.

Map restarts triggered by the zBlock plugin
---------------------------------------------

On changing the value of certain server cvars when running the zBlock plugin your server will automatically restart the current map (kicking all players to give the reason for the map change), this is done to ensure a level playing field on your server and also for ease of use to server administrators.
A change in the following cvars will trigger a map restart:
zb_active (on only)
sv_cheats (off from on)
sv_pure
sv_consistency
mp_dynamicpricing

CAUTION: Be careful that you do not make contradicting references to these cvar values in your "server.cfg" (ran automatically on map loads) as this will cause your server to repeatedly reload the map.
i.e.
sv_pure 0
...
sv_pure 2

Authors and Credited Others
-----------------------------
"TheUnknownFactor"
"J3Di"
"Trepje"

Contact details are available from our website

de_rush - Counter Strike Source Map

About:
------
This is the final version of de_rush, the 4th map of d00ds.com following de_losttemple, de_cpl_fire and de_nightfever.
de_rush takes place on a small island, where you easily could spend your next holidays. Back from nightfever you'll find yourself in a warm and sunny environment, just in time to fight back a terrorist attempt to ruin your vacation day. So don't forget your sunglasses ...

Story:
------
"Cannab Island" is under current terrorist attacks mostly blackmail. It wont take long before the terrorists execute more aggressive plans. A small counterterrorist unit has been dispatched to deal with the situation. Nobody knows yet what the terrorists are up to. So prepare for everything.

Layout:
-------
There are 3 main routes in the map: to the left rushing the beach to enter A, through the middle walking up the pier giving the opportunity to attack both A and B, to the right through the cave storming B. Both teams start closer to bomb spot A but have still a fair chance to attack/defend bomb spot B.
The map includes 40 spawns. If you want to upgrade to 64 spawns refer to 64_spawns.txt coming with this package.

Performance:
------------
Low detail models makes a lot of models much simpler without affecting gameplay. Some models like the ivy fade out completely.
Theres a lot of water in the map, so using cheap water can give a fps boost too.

Feedback:
---------
Please send us bugs & comments to
c o n t a c t @ d 0 0 d s . c o m
(remove the spaces)

Please feel free to host the map for download or on your gameserver.
Original download @ http://d00ds.com

Attention Server Admins:
------------------------
Since the map is larger than 16MB with all the custom content, put "net_maxfilesize 64" into server.cfg to allow download of the map.
However with BZIP2, it is from now on possible to compress large files which the players must download before being able to play (e.g. maps...) This way you can reduce the size of the de_rush download from 34MB to 17MB. Also the file gets downloaded from your fast webserver. That allows an enormous saving of time at the time of the remote loading.
Just follow these easy steps:
* Download the file "de_rush.bsp.bz2" @ http://files.ingame.de/counterstrike/gameserver/maps/de_rush.bsp.bz2
* In your server.cfg set "sv_downloadurl http://www.yourURLgoeshere.com/cstrike". (insert your own domain name)
* In the public_html directory (default) of your webserver create a new folder "cstrike" and a subfolder "maps".
* Place the file "de_rush.bsp.bz2" in the folder "cstrike/maps" on the webserver via ftp.
* Keep in mind you still need to install the map de_rush.bsp on your gameserver as you would normally do.

Changes for final:
-------------------
- fixed some small lighting issues
- added place painted nav-file

No bot tweaks were made yet. I need a little more feedback on their behavior. But the nav-file can be updated anytime, cause it's not necessary for the clients. So if you see them acting strange post a descriptive comment in this thread please.
